Volunteer Editor — Queer Magazine

Queer Magazine exists to bring the Human back, telling the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ and more specifically trans communities across the UK. We're a publication for the people, by the people, and we're looking for a volunteer Editor who shares that commitment.

As Editor, you'll work with our contributors to shape pieces across politics, human interest, entertainment, and education, helping writers develop their ideas and refining copy so every story lands with the honesty and heart our readers deserve.

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have an eye for detail and a feel for authentic, human storytelling

  • Understand the issues facing LGBTQ+ and trans communities today

  • Can offer thoughtful, constructive feedback with care and respect

  • Can give around 3–5 hours a week to something that genuinely matters

This is your chance to be part of a growing, grassroots publication doing real work for real people. No ivory towers, just community journalism with purpose.
